dedicated to serving families with care and compassion

Hi! I’m

Karisha solomon

I am a Gerontologist and Death Doula. I am the proud owner of the Remedy By Design Company that is based in New York.

Death is a word our society does not like say but it is just a word we use to describe a phase of our life.

I enjoy working with individuals in the second half of their life.

Death can be isolating and alienating. Most of us have not seen or experienced a beautiful death and do not know how to provide support for a loved one who is entering their journey to the end. Having someone there with you who has been through it can be an asset in navigating these confusing times. I will empower you to have the courageous conversations with yourself or your family.

You do not need to be sick or dying to utilize my services. Preplanning and organizing is the best gift to give your family at any age.

It is my pleasure to help adult children or their parents with legacy projects, in memory of creative projects and end of life planning.

The hardest part is just getting started. Let me help you.

Karisha walked me through every step of downsizing my home. Now I have more room for the crafts I always wanted to do. I have a new peace of mind to appreciate the things I should be instead of worrying about the what ifs.
— Louise
I did not realize what important paperwork I needed to have all of my wishes followed at the end of my life and to make it easy on my family. Karisha helped me organize everything in one place and she helped to get the hard conversations started. I wish I did this years ago.
— Catherine

“I am still downsizing my house after her class. She made me open my eyes and see things in a different perspective. Her challenges helped me break down what seemed like an impossible task into manageable steps. I am so grateful.” - Kathy
