Spring Pampering Products on a Budget
Everything is blossoming in Spring and you should too!
I am a mom who has chronic pain so I never feel like I can spend more money on myself but I have learned that pampering myself with these low cost items every spring makes me feel better.
I love this kind of razor with the gel on it for several reasons. First, you do not need to use shaving gel anymore so it basically pays for itself. Second, I have trouble with sharp pain when bending over so I shave on the side of the tub or in the bath frequently and the gel on the razor gives a smooth shave and it is a lot less messy.
I prefer not to use a straight edge razor on my bathing suit area and this electric trimmer is my ultimate favorite. I have tried the really expensive brands and the larger size but this little one is my preferred method and the price can not be beat for under $10.00
The merben dry brush is just what you need to get rid of dry flaky winter skin. It is a 5 minute routine before taking a shower that pays off in just one use. I prefer a wooden handle for a little extra reach and the fibers are natural and soft. Dry brushing is great for cellulite and blood flow as well.
I love the way my hair feels when I take the time to put heat protector in it before blow drying. I also like to put this in my hair in the summer when I know that I will be outside all day in the sun. I find that it protects my lighter colored hair and makes it feel really soft. This is one of the cheapest pampering techniques I have.
How often are you putting sunscreen on your kids but not yourself? I am so guilty of buying the good natural sunscreen for my kids and just using the leftovers on my hands for my face. I really enjoy bare minerals make up and the sunscreen is the same quality. I prefer the tinted because you do not feel like your body is tan and your face is not. It makes me feel like I am investing a little time and love into my self when I apply this in the morning and I like the way my face looks with a tan even if it comes from a bottle.
I buy a pair of these teva sandals every year not because they wear out completely but because I really do need that extra cushion for back support that I can only find in new sandals. I have tried the very expensive sandals that are suppose to mold to your foot and I prefer these for comfort and style. Just because I have chronic pain doesn’t mean I need to compromise all style. They do not have half sizes but the size 9 fits my foot just fine. At this price I do not feel guilty for buying a new pair each year.
